About us

Our team & guides

The simply out tours team has been very stable since 2007 and is also gaining new guides. The team, which is very important to us, consists of enthusiasts, bon vivants, animators and entertainers (f/m/d). This team also includes our partners, because the hotel accommodates you, the bus driver steers the bus confidently during your sightseeing tour and with the rental bikes you discover the Ruhr area by bike. Not forgetting our many contacts at the sights, restaurants and great locations. An internal and external team is at your disposal.
Highest priority: Quality & Services! And that in every sector.

New team members are personally mentored by us after their internships to ensure that our standards are maintained: You can feel the difference!

Quality and service must be one hundred percent right from the beginning to the end.

Our philosophy (Personal Corporate Identity)

The “simply out tours philosophy” means being there for people - for each individual team member and for each of our customers. It is a tangible value, an attitude, in everything that simply out tours plans and/or carries out. The entire team is service- and customer-oriented. The claim is: “We work reliably and professionally.” At the same time, we focus on humanity, Sustainability / Ecologyas well as our closeness to nature and social responsibility. These values run like a green thread through our offers and work. As a result, we have not only created cultural and sightseeing offers that are great fun, but also health-promoting and community-building experiences in nature. simply out has deep regional & local ties. Our vision: to create sustainable, earthbound experiences and trips to the Ruhr region. We want to give people a great time and we know how to do this and what we need to do it: Personality and a great network. That's what we have and that's why we enjoy it so much, because what you do and can do well brings deep satisfaction and joy. You will notice - try us and book a tour!

Our journey to becoming a sustainable company

Many of our products offer the opportunity to explore the region in a sustainable way. We usually travel on foot or by bike and have always designed our tours so that they can be done on a manual bike or what many people now call an ‘organic bike’.

Even if the current trend is that sustainable tourism and the topic of sustainability in general is booming (and that is necessary), it is a personal concern of ours to make our actions more sustainable. This also includes our internal processes.

On this page, we let you participate in our transformation process and are happy to receive feedback, tips and/or suggestions.

Our first step was to register for the Sustainability Pledge (NVMR) of the IHK Mittleres Ruhrgebiet.
This provided the opportunity to work together with other companies on essential topics, create synergies and support each other along the way.
In various workshops with Grubengold , we were able to develop our promise and were given the skills to continue addressing the issue and tackle the areas and challenges identified.

We have established the following promise for simply out tours:

1. ‘Turning a feeling into a fact’ - Not only our products and part of our internal structure should be sustainable or be perceived as such, but we as a company as a whole.
2. To implement a sustainability report by the end of 2023 that determines the current status of internal CO2 consumption in order to derive fields of action and necessary measures.
3. Internally and externally, we want to raise awareness of the issue of sustainability among our team members and guests and create support/offers for climate neutrality, e.g. when travelling to the event.
